Maybe a Russian owner takes over the famous hotel. A representative of a Russian company was present on the meeting of the Cívis Hotels Ltd and its creditors. This company is bidding to buy the Aranybika and the Hotel on Kálvin square.
In this spring maybe a Russian flag will be next to the Hungarian one on the Hotel’s facade.
The Aranybika’s operator the Cívis Hotels Ltd. is negotiating with the Russian companyon the sale of the hotel. The Russian representative and the creditors have not been able to sign an agreement yet. The concerned parties expecting final decision on Monday, 15th of February 2010.
Within a couple of months the Russian investor has to transfer the full price, enable the Cívis Hotels Ltdto paythe creditors. The creditors will held another meeting early next week, and if it is necessary they can windup the Cívis Hotels Ltd.
As far as the local press knows the Russian investors wants to run the Aranbika and the Best Western Hotel in the future, keeping most of their staff.
