The Hungarian Film Commission decided that the Bibliotheque Pascal (Szabolcs Hajdu’s film) film will represent Hungary in the category of best foreign language film in 2011 Oscar Award – informed the Hungarian Film Union.
Szabolcs Hajdu was born in Debrecen. His film shows the life of a young girl, Mona Paparu`s travels, love, and troubles in Western Europe. The role of Mona is played by Orsolya Torok-Illyes.
The film won first prize in this year’s Hungarian Film Week.
On America’s most famous film award,the Oscar one film can represent a country. The Oscar nominees will be published on January 25, 2011 and the awards gala will be held on 27 February.
