The Airport closes this year with increased passenger number. They going to have around 26 000 passengers till the end of the year instead of last year`s 21,016 passengers.
The airport is the region`s leading airport. The number of outgoing charter passengers during the season reached 18 768 while arrival numbers reached 2248.
The latter had their flights from Erfurt and Leipzig on board of the Hamburg International flights.
The travelers used 68 flights in total to get to Tunisia, Turkey and Bulgaria. The routes were well utilized flying almost with 100% in September. This had not happened before.
The remaining almost 5000 passengers used small aircrafts, the military flights and the flights of the local football team`s and supporter`s.
