New head of the airport, Papp Csaba wishes to increase the number of passengers by 30-40%.
Last year the airport dealt with more than 25.000 passengers and Papp Csaba wants to increase this number by starting new charter flights in May. “By means of the new flights we expect a 30-40% increase in the number of passengers as compared to last year.” –said the new director. So far, charter flights set off to Turkey, Bulgaria, Tunisia and Egypt and arrived from Germany to Debrecen. The leaders of the airport are discussing the possibility of beginning low cost flights to London once every week.
