They smuggled approximately 100.000 packs of cigarette from Hungary to Ukraine.
Following investigation, the Northern Plain Regional Crime Directorate of the Hungarian Customs and Finance Guard suggested impeachment against a 20-member smuggler crew which is suspected to have smuggled around 100 thousand packs of cigarette from Hungary to Ukraine where they sold it to Hungarian receivers in 2009-2010. The Ukrainian head of the criminal organization virtually dominated most of the Hungarian-Ukrainian border. A number of smaller cigarette smuggler gangs could perform their activities only with his consent. The crew had border-monitoring and executive member who didn’t refrain even from violence in dealing with non-paying customers and those who interfered with the interest of the crew.
