St. Anne’s Cathedral has two new bells both of which were taken to the temple on Monday morning.
The bigger, 315-kg bell that has been made in honor of the builder of the cathedral Cardinal Count Imre Csaky was donated by Eva Reviczky, director of the Hungarian representation of Torma Kft. in Bagamer and by the parish of St. Anne’s Cathedral. The other, 160-kg bell has been made in honor of Blessed Pope John Paul II and is the donation of Bishop Nandor Bosak. The bells were raised to their place after the ordination ceremony held on Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock.
