A Hungarian young man has won the World Championship for couriers in Warsaw.
Levente Porcsin, a 20-years old guy from Debrecen won the world championship of bike-couriers in Varso.
The distance to ride in such competitions is 500 meters; Levente’s winning time was only 20.63 seconds. This means that his maximum speed during the run reached 90 kmph. He outran the runner-up by only 1 second.
Instead of a gold medal, he won a cap with No. 1 on it.
Levente is a university student in the Faculty of Law, and in his spare time, he is a professional biker of the Chili Sport Association in Debrecen.
He also uses his special couriers’ bike for everyday riding. It is a so called “Fixie” bike constructed on his own, with fixed gears, low weight and narrower steering gear for easy fit among the cars.
