A representative portal is being made on the occasion of the university’s centenary next year.
The portal will commemorate the former rectors and eminent personalities of the university, showing a collection of pictures, paintings and sculptures representing them. The portal will also provide an overview of the last 100 years by a virtual exhibition of the documents related to the different buildings and organizational units and of the works of art found at the campuses of the university.
The site will place special emphasis on spreading material of educational content and on publishing scientific results or those achieved in workshops. The Publication Database will contain a knowledge map, the most recent articles and publications. A number of electronic journals will also be available in the database. The site will provide a virtual space for the rising generation of scientists and the medical students studying at the university. It will be adapted to the user habits of the students who will be able to form an online community, making use of the web2.0 tools and forums.
