Musicians from Debrecen played in Padernborn and they wish to “bring” musicians from there for future coproduction. Éva Jäger (soprano) and Gábor Tokodi (renaissance lyre, baroque guitar) was invited to perform in the opening concert organized by the German-Hungarian Group of Friends. Such groups are operating throughout Germany, run by dissidents of 1956 and Hungarians living there for only few years because of work.
As the couple told, these groups and organizations not only strenghten cultural ties but also help to maintain the sense of being Hungarian.
The couple prepared with pieces by Monteverdi, Schütz, and Sancez. Besides playing a concert, their aim was to build relationships for future coproductions in Debrecen.
