The new, femtosecond laser machine uses the most accurate surgery technique by international standards.
A patient is being prepared for femtosecond laser operation in the Medical and Health Science Center in Debrecen. The laser machine is a new acquisition in the center and it’s worth 132.500.000 forints. It is used for corneal transplant surgeries and other corrective eye surgeries. The machine was developed by the Bólyai-prize winner Zsolt Bor and is the most modern and the most accurate one even on the international level. Using pre-stored data, the machine performs the operations on its own, according to individual needs, making eye surgeries faster, easier and more reliable.
