The Town and Village Supporters Association (Hungaria Nostra) gave the Podmaniczky-prize to József Papp who is the manager of the microfilm data set of Debrecen’s Town Hall. The expert of regional history received the award in Kecskemét, 5th July. The prize goes to people who do the most to support their natural environment and the cultural heritage of their region.
The Podmaniczky-prize is not the first award of József Papp; in 2010 he received the Kós Károly-prize for his supportive work towards the architectural heritage of the region.
