33 paralympic athletes go to the world event.
The list of names of the athletes going to the Paralympics is finalised: similarly to the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games 33 athletes can go to this year’s event. Dezső Bereczki, table tennis player from Debrecen is among them. He will be completing his fourth Olympics this year. Four years ago the Hungarians won one gold and five bronze medals, while this year the Hungarian Paralympic Committee hopes to collect 8-10 medals. This expectation is based on the current world ranking and on the results of last year’s international contests.
