András Koroknai, a young man from Debrecen has made it to the main event final of the World Series of Poker 2012 that is taking place in Las Vegas.
The Hungarian Poker Association reported that a total of 6598 people had paid the entry fee of 10.000 USD in order to take part in the so called “no limit hold’em” tournaments. This is the most popular version of poker, well-known from TV coverages. In this version, there are no upper limits for betting. András Koroknai is going to sit down at the table for 9 as the holder of the second place, that is with the second highest amount of money, in the finals that are to be held on 28-30 October. At the worst, the Hungarian player will get around 177 million forints but if he wins, he will be the happy owner of about 2 billion forints.
