The Sport Hostel was given to the University for free for a year, where a Centre of Team-Academy might be established.
The Centre for Agricultural and Applied Economic Sciences was the first in Hungary, who created a Team-Academy Centre. For the students, it means that they could become part of an enterprise, with all burdens and maintenances of it. To realise the project, the university gives the premises and the professional assistance. The idea of the Team-Academy came from Jyvaskyla University of Applied Sciences, Finland.
The city council let the Sport Hostel for the University for free, since the institution was empty this summer. Lajos Kósa, mayor of Debrecen mentioned the Sport Hostel as a possible location for the establishment of the Team-Academy Centre.
