Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary gave an interview yesterday on Kossuth Radio.
According to Orbán, it is reasonable to have a separate secretary of state for higher education. He said that public education and vocational trainings are under re-organization; higher education is on the anvil. One man cannot do so much work, that is why a separate secretary of state is needed.
Answering the question of the students’ contract, his opinion was that “it is righteous; if the government supports higher education, the society can require something in return rightfully”.
The Prime Minister also said “it is not a transformation of the government. Transformation is when secretaries of state are changed, and I have no such plans”.
