The latest movie of the Hungarian film director János Szász with the title The Notebook (2013) is a shocking war drama about two young boys who try to survive the WW II nearby the Hungarian city, Kőszeg. The movie is based on the best-seller story of the well-known author, Agota Kristof.
The movie was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2013, awarded at the Karlovy-Vary International Film Festival and it was also selected as the Hungarian nominee for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards.
