ESN Debrecen and DEHÖK Foreign Relations Committee joined the international Social Erasmus week between 28 April- 1 May, during which Erasmus students are doing charity, environmental protection and other volunteer activities in their exchange countries.
In Debrecen, students painted pictures of fairy figures to the walls of the Paediatrics, to help children in their fast recovery. On Tuesday, some work was done on the Zoo and the Amusement Park, however the planned fence painting and litter picking was partly cancelled due to the rainy weather.
On Wednesday, students visited the “Reménysugár” Children’s House, to give the children packages of food and everyday objects, that worth more than 100.000 Fts. Some students gave presentations about their home countries too.
On 1 May, the group is to be found at the inauguration of the Stadium, where people can get hugged and get origami birds with good wishes from the Free Hug team.
