The police caught seventeen people and took another thirty-six to various police stations in Hajdú-Bihar County yesterday.
Five perpetrators were caught in the act of committing crimes, another three were taken into custody on the basis of warrants for arrest issued by the court of Debrecen and nine was taken to police stations for staying illegally in the country. Another nine people were taken to police stations as suspects.
There were seven traffic accidents from which two resulted in serious injuries and five in minor ones.
A 45 year old man was caught stealing a bottle of liqueur in a store in Debrecen. The security guard called the police after which the local resident was taken to the police station where a procedure was initiated against him on reasonable suspicion of theft.
