A three-story house has been functioning as a meeting house for Muslim people since this year’s spring on Egyetem Blvd.
The building was bought by the United Arab Emirates for 100 million forints and was donated to the Hungarian Islamic Community.
The building originally consisted of three 200 square metres apartments with garages.
Reconstruction of the building is still in progress, Muslims can use two rooms for meetings at the moment.
The house was chosen to be a meeting place because it is close to the University of Debrecen, and there is a considerable amount of Muslim students in the city.
