Debrecen and the Czech Brno have signed a twin city agreement on 19 January 2017.
The agreement was signed by László Papp, Mayor of Debrecen and Petr Vokrál at the Regiontour international touristic fair in the Czech Republic.
László Papp said that there were a lot of similarities between the strategies of the two cities. He mentioned that both had strong and progressive economy and education.
After signing the twin city agreement, Debrecen and Brno will cooperate in the following fields: economy development, science, research, innovation, education, tourism, culture and sport.
Brno is the 18th twin city of Debrecen.
