Professors, guest professors and doctors of the University of Debrecen were awarded by the President of Hungary on 20 August.
On the occasion of the Foundation of the State, 20 August, the following professors and doctors received state awards:

Mihály Duffek, Prof. Dr. Mihály Duffek, Dean of Faculty of Music of the University of Debrecen – awarded by the Order of Merit of Hungary, Officer’s Cross
Gábor István Dávid, Research Professor, Phd, Stony Brook University, guest professor of the University of Debrecen – awarded by the Knight of Cross from the Order of Merit of Hungary
János Tanyi, Professor emeritus of the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences and Environmental Management – awarded by the Order of Merit of Hungary, Officer’s Cross
Péter Szabó, Associate Professor Emeritus – awarded by the Életfa Memorial Plaque
