19 people have been taken to hospital from Szerep (Hajdú-Bihar county) with suspicion of poisoning.According to MTI, nineteen people – with children among them – were taken to hospital from Szerep on the 19th of December. Their symptoms were similar to the symptoms of poisoning: dizziness, nausea, vomiting and visual disturbance. The problems were likely caused by consuming methanol.
According to the mayor of Szerep, the council does everything they can for the families. They have already allocated some extra money for them.
Investigation of the incident is still in progress.
