Renovation work is almost over in the main building of the university. Thanks to this, the furniture on the corridors will be fully renovated soon.The University of Debrecen allocated 14 million HuF from its budget for the renovation. The renovation of approximately 300 pieces of furniture (100 tables and 200 benches) – which are almost 50 years old – began in October, 2017.
The renovation requires craftwork, which can cover up to 40 or 50 hours of work per piece.
Almost 50 out of the 100 sets have been completely renewed and returned to the main building. The renovation is expected to be completely finished by the end of this summer.
