A reserach team in Debrecen is working on the development of a rapid test which can diagnose cancer. According to the plans, the new test will be available in drug stores. The instant diagnostic test will be relatively cheap and easy to use: only a tiny stool sample will be needed. The new rapid test will measure the amount of a certain enzyme in the faeces.
Researchers say that with the help of their new diagnostic tool, breast cancer can be caught in a very early stage.
The researcher team in Debrecen is led by Péter Bay biochemist.
