The series production of Audi electric motors has already started in Hungary. The Audi plant in Győr is now heading for a global leading position in the field of electric drive systems.The electric engines, made in the Hungarian plant in Győr, are produced for the Audi E-tron SUV. The new car is to be launched shortly, and it will be the first purely electric model of the German premium car manufacturer. With this move, Audi has created 100 new jobs in Hungary, which is planned to be increased to 130 by the end of this year.
Audi Hungaria Zrt. in Győr is currently the world’s largest motor production plant and the central motor supplier of the Audi and Volkswagen Concern. Audi A3 Limousine, A3 Cabriolet, Q3, Audi TT Coupé and Audi TT Roadster are manufactured in Győr, as well as, from next year, the brand new Q4.
Audi Hungaria Zrt. is one of the largest companies in Hungary with its 12,000 employees in Győr. Since its establishment, Audi Hungaria has produced more than 33 million engines, and since the year of 1998, the start of passenger car manufacturing, more than 1.1 million cars has rolled down the production lines.
