Asia Argento was one of the first women who publicly accused the producer Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault. Now, she is the one who has been accused with the very same act.Actress and director Asia Argento, who has been one of the leading figures of the #MeToo campaign, has been accused of sexual assault by Jimmy Bennett, a young actor and rock musician. Bennett states that Argento raped him in a California hotel room years ago when he was only 17-years-old.
Recently, some documents have been sent to The New York Times through an encrypted email including a selfie dated 9th May, 2013, of Argento and Bennett lying in bed. After that, Bennett, who is now 22, was given 380,000 USD by Asia Argento, after which he gave the photograph and its copyright to the actress.
The press tried to get in contact with Argento, but she has not replied any phone calls or e-mails.
