László Mátyus, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Debrecen was chosen to be the head of the Hungarian Biophysical Society (HBS) for another four years.
This year, the university hosts the society’s congress that will be held in August 2019.
Biophysics is a basic subject of the medical training and at the University of Debrecen, the most distinguished experts present the basics of natural sciences for students – says László Mátyus.
László Mátyus has been a member of the HBS presidency for more than 20 years, which has 300 active members.
Previously, he has served as vice president and since 2015, he has been the head of the society. This year, he was chosen for another four years.
