American actor, Rip Torn has died at the age of 88.On Tuesday afternoon, Rip Torn, iconic American actor and comedian died at his home. He was 88 years old.
Rip Torn started his career in the mid-1950s, and was known for such movies as Baby Doll, Payday, Coma or Beyond the Law.
Torn was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his part as Marsh Turner in Cross Creek (1984). He was also nominated for six Emmy Awards, winning in 1996.
