On Tuesday afternoon (20th of August), a carbon monoxide detector alerted the residents of a flat on Csapó street, Debrecen.
In an apartment on Csapó Street, the device gave alarm signals next to a water heater, so the residents called the firefighters and started to clear the room. Firefighters detected toxic carbon monoxide in the air, even with open windows. The water heater has been shut down by gas supply experts.
The residents were not injured in the incident.
