This weekend is the very first Terrarium and Aquarium Weekend at the Debrecen Zoo – an ideal place to visit even amid harsh weather conditions as, on November 16 and 17, they will be hosting thematic activities involving the exotic residents of the Palm and Tropical Houses.
This Saturday and Sunday, visitors will hear all about everyday life in the Palm House and peak behind the scenes to meet some of the more obscure species up close. They will also be offered a hands-on introduction to terrarium and aquarium construction and the chance to participate in crocodile and piranha feeding shows. The event will also include an Arts and Crafts Corner for children who wish to make reptile and amphibian themed items as well as a Dare for those bravest.
All events and activities will be free of charge for visitors with a Zoo ticket.
