Innovation and Technology Minister László Palkovics visited Beijing during which a number of cooperation agreements were signed between Hungarian and Chinese partners.
The innovation and technology ministry concluded an innovation and research cooperation agreement with Tsinghua University. Hungarian software developer E-Group signed an agreement with the university on establishing a centre for technology transfers.
Budapest’s Corvinus University signed an agreement with Chinese tourism company CTrip, which will open an office and a dual training centre at the university in Budapest.
The Záhony Logistics and Industrial Zone Consortium and the Central European Trade and Logistics Cooperation Zone finalised a cooperation agreement on logistics and rail transport services, which will help establish a land connection between the Hungarian border town Záhony and inner China.
In an address, Palkovics noted that the financing agreement for the planned Hungarian section of the Budapest-Belgrade railway project was slated to be signed this year, and an agreement between the government and Fudan University on establishing a Chinese university in Hungary was ready for signing.
