Debrecen, our garden action continued in Liget residential area, where another 25 oaklings were planted by Erzsébet Katona, municipal councillor of the district as well as by the residents and Ákos Balázs Vice Mayor.
It was in the green area in Karinthy Frigyes Street in Liget residential area where 25 balled-and-burlapped native oak trees were planted by the councillor of the district, Erzsébet Katona and Ákos Balázs Vice Mayor together with the residents of the area. The work was also assisted by DEHUSZ employees.
Ákos Balázs said at the press meeting organised parallel with the tree planting:
„It is important for us to be surrounded by more and more green areas in Debrecen. There should be more trees! We have planted trees in 30 places in several districts of the city this year – and until the weather permits, we shall not stop. The next site is going to be Tócóskert this week. Debrecen, our garden program is successful, the mayor planted the one thousandth tree in Wesselényi microdistrict last week.”
