A Czech national believed to have attempted to help six Syrians cross the Hungary-Austria border has been arrested, the western Hungarian chief prosecutor’s office said.
The man was apprehended near the Hungary-Slovenia-Austria border after he had picked up the six illegal migrants into his car. The suspect had charged the Syrians 1,000 euros each under promise of helping them reach Vienna.
