Delivery of the coronavirus vaccine from Moderna, a US pharmaceutical company, has begun in Europe, the company said Monday.
According to a recent press release, Kühne + Nagel, one of the world’s leading logistics companies, will deliver the vaccine to countries in the European Union and the European Economic Area.
Dan Staner, the company’s vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, emphasized: “We have reached an important milestone and are proud of the role that the Moderna vaccine will play in the fight against the epidemic in Europe”.

The Moderna vaccine was authorized by the European Commission on 6 January following a recommendation from the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
The company will produce at least 600 million doses of vaccine in 2021, 100 million doses more than previously planned.
