Final exams in Hungary’s secondary schools could be safely held in the spring provided that current precautionary measures are maintained, the state secretary for public education said.
Zoltán Maruzsa said that written tests could be held with no more than ten students in one classroom, adding that physical distancing would also be possible during viva voces. Maruzsa said that last spring nearly 80,000 took their exams without triggering an outbreak of Covid-19, while in the autumn 30,000 students did so without harmful consequences.
