The Socialists are recommending that the government adopt a practice similar to the one in Austria and ensure everybody five Covid-19 rapid home tests a month, free of charge, a lawmaker of the opposition party said on Sunday.
Ildikó Borbély Bangó told an online press conference that people can’t “sit with their hands in their laps” until there is enough vaccine to inoculate everybody, but must make use of all available tools to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. “It would appear that [governing] Fidesz has written off one of the most important tools for defence: testing,” she added.
