Fully 272 patients, generally elderly with an underlying condition, died over the past 24 hours, and 9,637 new coronavirus infections were officially registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Thursday.
Fully 1,747,519 people have received their first jab, and 524,604 have been fully inoculated, the website said.
The number of infections has risen to 603,347, while the death toll has increased to 19,224. The number of recoveries stands at 387,570. There are 196,553 active infections, while hospitals are caring for 11,760 Covid patients, 1,467 of whom are on ventilators.
Most infections have been registered in Budapest (114,552) and Pest County (84,190), followed by Győr-Moson-Sopron (34,578) Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén (33,368), and Hajdú-Bihar counties (32,252). The county least affected by the infection is Tolna (13,075).
