The majority of the 272 deaths were elderly, chronic patients, so the number of deaths rose to 22,681, koronavirus.gov.hu reported.
Vaccination is ongoing, with 2,608,084 people vaccinated, 1,077,947 of whom have already received their second vaccination. 4,814 new infections were registered, bringing the total number of identified infections to 698,490 since the outbreak began.
The number of people cured is constantly increasing, currently 419,765 people, but the number of actively infected people has already risen to 256,044 people. There are 11,663 patients with coronavirus hospitalized, 1,337 of whom are on ventilators.
