The Hungarian government is sending ventilators to Palestine

Global

Following the decision, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade must contact the competent Palestinian authorities, and the Minister of the Interior must provide the means by attaching the National Hospital Directorate-General, Telex.hu wrote on the basis of the bulletin.

A total of seven ventilators will be handed over free of charge by the Hungarian state.

The ventilators purchased by the Hungarian government are stored in a warehouse in Gödöllő, and their storage costs approximately HUF 90 million per month. From Gödöllő, 150 ventilators first arrived in the Czech Republic, then 27 in the Highlands, 50 in Transcarpathia, 100 in Vojvodina, 30 in Bosnia, 20 in Lebanon, 10 in Jordan, 20 in Kyrgyzstan and 18 in Uganda.

Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó had previously instructed foreign missions to negotiate the sale of unnecessarily stored ventilators. When RTL asked in early May how many of the ventilators had been donated and sold so far, they did not respond, instead they only said:

“If we can help other countries, we will be happy to do so.”
