The health care institutions in Debrecen will receive the 23 lamps that help to protect against the coronavirus epidemic, disinfect the rooms with ultraviolet light (UV) and ozone, which were donated to the city by a company from Debrecen. The total value of the assets exceeds half a million forints.
At the handover, Csaba Papp, Vice-Chairman of the Health and Social Affairs Committee of the Debrecen General Assembly, commemorated the Nurses’ Day (May 12) and thanked the huge, sacrificial work done by the nurses in the recent period on behalf of the city municipality. They are the ones who are always there in the hospitals 24 hours a day next to the patients and provide the conditions for recovery. As Csaba Papp later said, among other things, the tools that can be used in defense are a treasure not only at the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic, but also today. Because although we know more and more about the disease caused by the coronavirus, and it can be reduced thanks to the vaccination, the fight against the disease is unchanged: the disinfection of our immediate environment, the air spaces, is very important. Combined devices with ultraviolet light and ozone disinfection are very useful and are a great help in this fight. They will be placed in high-traffic GP and home pediatric surgeries, midwifery services and medical services.
Csongor Petkes, the managing director of Data System Control Kft. – which is the Hungarian representative of V-TAC – emphasized that although they are present throughout the country with their activities, only Debrecen is the first for them. Therefore, in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic, they wanted to help the city, the workers doing sacrificial work in health care, in a way that the citizens of Debrecen can experience directly in the medical offices. They were therefore thought to contribute to creating a safe environment in the clinics in a chemical-free manner. The current donation is not intended to be a one-off, but the company intends to help the city with similar tools in the future. Csongor Petkes is confident that those deliveries can be held without a mask – many people still need to be vaccinated.
Csaba Papp also took the opportunity to thank all the companies that have helped the city in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic so far.
