So far, more than 4.3 million doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine have arrived in Hungary – Pfizer Gyógyszerkereskedelmi Kft. Informed MTI.

According to the announcement, the 24th consignment – containing more than 430 thousand doses of coronavirus vaccine – arrived in Hungary on Tuesday.

It was written that Pfizer has been delivering the vaccine to Hungary on a weekly basis for more than five months. The company reliably delivered more than 1.5 million doses of the vaccine by the first quarter, and significantly increased the number of doses from the second quarter, bringing 1.3 million doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to the country in May alone, they said.

The two companies are projected to manufacture and supply more than 2.5 billion doses of vaccine worldwide this year, the statement said.

The online appointment booking system is constantly open

It is no longer possible to book an online appointment for a vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine against the coronavirus, koronavirus.gov.hu ​​said on Tuesday.

The announcement highlighted that online appointment booking will continue to work. Validly registered people, including those aged 16-18, can book an appointment automatically on the website www.eeszt.gov.hu ​​without an SMS notification.

They added that there are nationally available dates for vaccination with Pfizer, Sinopharm and limited quantities of Sputnik vaccine, but Janssen and Moderna vaccines are also available at some vaccination sites.

It was reported that no dates will be announced from AstraZeneca for a while because incoming – reduced – shipments will be used for second-round vaccinations.

Attention was drawn to the fact that there are no more shipments of Sputnik vaccine, the last set is out at the hospital vaccines, asking whoever wants to receive it to book an appointment as soon as possible.
