Five people died in a traffic accident in the Abony area on Friday afternoon (24th September), the Pest County Police Headquarters reported on police.hu.
At the 89th kilometer of the M4 motorway, a van from Budapest towards Szolnok collided with a truck from behind. Five people were killed in the van.
On the affected road section, the police started to detect the accident, the traffic was diverted at the 86th kilometer, in the direction of Abony to the road No. 3122. Attila Csámpai, a spokesman for the Pest County Disaster Management Directorate, told MTI that a minibus was stuck under a trailer truck. The entire width of the affected road section was closed.
