Debrecen to Receive HuF 1.3 Billion From the Government for the German School

The government will reallocate 1.3 billion HuF gross to Debrecen for the renovation of the German Primary School and Grammar School – Magyar Közlöny reported in its latest issue.

 

The new German school, which will be built on the site of the Vénkert Primary School and School of Art, is needed in the city because there are several German companies settled here (e.g. BMW, Krones, Schaeffler, Deufol, Thyssenkrupp, etc.).

According to the government decision signed by Viktor Orbán, the institution will be maintained not by the Debrecen School District Centre, but by the Institutional Maintenance and Operating Public Foundation of the General Cultural Center of the Germans in Hungary.

 

The contractor will be a state-owned company, BMSK Investment, Technical Development, Sports Management and Public Procurement Zrt., Their net offer of HuF 922 million was the most attractive among the applicants.
