On the last Sunday of the month, as it has been doing since 2012, the Debrecen Women’s Public Association of Unsolicited Attention once again invited the hard-working people of Debrecen. At the free food distribution, a bowl of hot lunch and fresh bread awaited everyone in need. They also brought sweets to the children.
The line was as long now as we were unfortunately used to. Long before food distribution began, many lined up, waiting for lunch. Half an hour before the start, we were already at number 100. By the end of the food distribution, all 150 servings of cabbage had run out.
This year, people came in big numbers, and it was not because of the good weather. As a result of the coronavirus epidemic, more and more families are in a hopeless situation, so even at the end of the month, buying bread is a problem.
