DKV has sent good news to residents in the downtown area. Between 6 and 30 November, 6 rail lubrication equipment will be installed on tram lines 1 and 2. As a result of the lubrication, the characteristic “squeaking sound” during the tram traffic will be reduced, so the level of environmental noise load will be significantly reduced.
Affected track sections:
- Tram line 1: Pálma arc, Clinic arc.
- Tram line 2: Kartács street arch, Honvéd street arch in both directions, Csemete street arch in the direction of the Grand Station.
No change in tram travel times is expected during construction, but the installation itself will be noisy.
