The Olympic champion swimmer caught the coronavirus for the second time. He probably brought the infection home from Kazany.
The swimmer had already undergone a coronavirus infection last fall, when he was both physically and mentally in a very bad shape. But Kristóf started the training again with a new trainer, Balázs Virth, and started in the European Short Track Championship in Kazany. At the competition venue, his coronavirus test proved to be negative, but on returning home it was already positive, writes Bors Magazine.
Several people from the Hungarian delegation became infected, but Milák’s tests were always negative, until last week’s national championship. Unfortunately, it produced a positive result and he was immediately quarantined – said the association captain Csaba Sós, who is worried about the athlete, as Kristóf Milák was very worn out by the coronavirus infection last year. The captain even told the paper that he knew Kristof was fine, this time with only mild symptoms. The most important thing for him is that the swimmer can heal calmly, and he will not be in a hurry to continue the preparation.
