The Hungarian Higher Education Accreditation Committee supported the start of the basic course in biotechnology at the University of Debrecen. The new training will be available from the UD Faculty of Science and Technology in the recruitment process starting in December. The strategic focus areas of the University of Debrecen include the healthcare industry, and the institution has a significant tradition of teaching and researching biotechnology. More than 30 years ago, the first biotechnology training was launched at the University of Debrecen in 1987, and today it is the only Hungarian higher education institution in all major branches of biotechnology (red biotechnology: pharmaceutical and medical, white biotechnology: environmental, green biotechnology: agricultural biotechnology). ) provides both pieces of knowledge to biotechnology master’s students in specializations.
According to the dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, which is launching a new program, the epidemic has further increased the demand for well-trained biotechnology professionals in the labor market.
