Output of Hungary’s construction sector rose by an annual 14.5% in October, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Wednesday.
The pace of the increase edged up from 14.2% in the previous month. Output of the building segment climbed by 19.7% and civil engineering output increased by 9.7%. In a month-on-month comparison, construction sector output rose by 1.1%, adjusted for seasonal and workday effects. In absolute terms, output reached 518.6 billion forints (EUR 1.4bn) in October. The building segment accounted for 60% of the total.
