According to the weather alert sent to the MTI by the National Meteorological Service on Friday morning (24th December), further first-degree alarms can be expected in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Fejér, Hajdú-Bihar, Heves, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok, Komárom-Esztergom and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg counties.
In the morning there will be snow, sleet and then rain. The expected amount of sleet is a maximum of 1 millimeter – they wrote.
The snowfall can last the longest in the north-eastern part of the country, in the eastern part of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county up to 5 centimeters of snow can accumulate.
The rainfall that arrives at night gradually leaves our area east during the day. “A dangerous weather phenomenon according to the criteria is not expected after the transit of the precipitation system,” they said.
There is a second-level alarm in several districts of Pest and Nógrád county.
