The defendant admitted that he did what he did out of revenge because he was not invited to the event. The District Court of Berettyóújfalu ruled without a trial and sentenced him to a criminal sentence.
According to the facts established by the court, the accused and an acquaintance arrived at Pocsaj from work around six in the evening on October 16, 2021, and then began drinking. They were already on their way home when they reached the event hall of the town, where they were attentive to music. The accused and his acquaintance wanted to enter the building, but the people there were not allowed to do so, and there was a hassle between them.
The drunk defendant was enraged by this, then went to the public telephone booth near the event house and called the police emergency call center, saying, “I hid a bomb in the IKSZT Telecottage in Pocsaj. Everyone will die. ”
Following the announcement, police units arriving at the scene carried out a civil protection measure and the engagement ceremony was interrupted. The 23 guests there had to leave the building in order for the police to inspect it.
During the bombing investigation and police measures, it was established that the report was untrue, and the accused, whose allegation threatening the occurrence of a public incident was likely to disturb public order, was identified and apprehended shortly afterward.
The Berettyóújfalu District Court imposed a penalty of 312 hours of public service work on the defendant for the crime of threatening a public threat. The decision is final.
